‘Freyamuse’ is one of an ongoing series called ‘Virtual Portraits’ exploring idealised representations based on portraits of friends and models. Idiosyncratic individual features are ‘rounded’ and simplified and together with the ‘overall’ patterning, generates a sculptural unity of form between human features and this rather severe traditional portrait bust format. The floral patterning is impressed into the soft clay, inlaid with coloured jesmonite after firing and then is softened and ‘naturalised’ through abrasion.

A £50.00 reservation fee is required to secure this Artwork. There will be no further purchase charges. All art works will be available for collection from a venue in Glasgow (Venue and Date TBC).
